The town, on the National Register of Historic Places, features an impressive lodge and modern shower house, an inviting wood-fired sauna, an authentic General Store, and plenty of tall tales to share around the campfire. We don’t have cell service, Wi-Fi, or televisions!

This is the perfect getaway spot! The cabins are cozy and clean with everything you need in them. The property is beautiful and the setting is gorgeous! We loved being able to look at Hahn’s peak from our porch. We also loved the cross country ski trail on the property that took us through a winter wonderland. It’s close to Steamboat Springs but you feel like you are a world away from everything. We loved our stay and cannot wait to come back!
Our stay at the Historic Columbine Cabins was exactly the respite we needed after a chaotic year. Gorgeous, cozy cabins overlooking Hahn’s Peak and within minutes of some of the best snowshoeing, skiing, and snowmobiling in the state! The rooms have all of the amenities you need, and we were amazed at the immaculately cleaned bathroom/shower area. I could see this being a great place to bring kids and families, it’s an ideal “backcountry-lite” experience where you’re secluded out in nature, but you still have plenty of creature comforts.
